Featured Artist - Ruby Yang

Academy award winning director Ruby Yang has been nominated for her documentary, The Blood of Yingzhou District which examines the devastating impact of the AIDS epidemic on children in rural China. In China, hundreds of children who have been orphaned by AIDS or whose family members suffer from the disease are deprived of basic human rights due to the stigmatization surrounding the disease.

Yet the film's message is simple yet critical: to discard stigma associated with AIDS and provide more care for those living with the disease.
